These seem to actually work! Have had to get used to not sliding my glass around on it - was used to these plastic ones where I could slide it to move. Wish they came in other colors. Great price.

These are great! They look good and they work. We have more absorbant ones, but they are heavy and I worry everytime my 6-year-old drops one. We like the set so much I'm ordering a second set.

These coasters are the best I've used so far. Seriously. I didn't want cloth because those aren't as sturdy and didn't want tile because those are heavy. However, drinks that sweat stick to most coasters that aren't cloth or tile, and I can't stand when the coaster comes up with the drink when I lift it up. These Thirstystone coasters are perfect for my needs, easily portable and look simple and great. A+ from me :-)

Oversight on my part...
If you're going to get coasters to absorb liquids that sweat from your cups, pick something other than glass. Leather, wood, and cork would probably be far more suitable options.
While these are pretty and very decorative, they're terrible at doing what they're designed to do, which is keep my table dry. Whenever I put a cold drink on one of these, there's soon water sweating off the glass, onto the coaster, and then pooling on it until it dribbles off onto the table.
These coasters need a lip to prevent spillage and make them useful.
To add a bit more disappointment, the clear rubber feet on each coaster are not put on uniformly, creating an odd staggered look into the optical illusion of having these coasters stacked.
Again, very pretty, but not practical and not terribly useful.

They are slate coasters... They work like a coaster should. Look good on the table, too.

I bought this coaster set along with the Thirstystone (standup) Dark Walnut Coaster Holder (which fits great!) after reading a lot of reviews on Thirstystone coasters. I was interested in buying a coaster that would not lift with my drink and scare me as it falls onto the table like my glass coaster tends to do. Additionally, the ability to soak up moisture from my drink is a plus. My coasters' images look pretty close to the vibrancy of the image on this site albeit a little duller, and the images are all centered. Though it is the heaviest coaster I've ever owned, that quality and the fact that it is porous does ensure that it won't lift with my drink. Therefore, it fits my purpose great. Sometimes it does leave a little sand residue if I put a cup down onto it hard, but it's no trouble to clean up. Finally, it does have a cork backing on it that leaves about 1/4" or less around the edges unprotected so I will just have to be a little careful when lifting this off my wooden table so as not to scratch my table. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase and hope this will last for awhile.

I bought this to use with ThirstyStone coasters and it works great. The dark walnut matches seemlessly with the other dark end tables/coffee tables we have. It also saves a little more space than a flat-oriented holder, and its more attractive.

Just got these coasters and I'm not pleased with the picture on them. The detail gets completely lost in the material used to make them. Looks like a blob of color rather than a picture.
